Citations are CSA points until somebody fights them.
Every roadside citation is severity-weighted into the SMS calculation regardless of whether it sticks in court. We capture, contest, and document every ticket so the ones that should not count never do.

CSA / SMS · State traffic codes · DataQ
What this engagement covers.
Citation intake within 48 hours of issuance with the driver, the inspection report, and any supporting evidence.
Court representation strategy: where to fight, where to plea down, where to pay.
DataQ challenges on dismissed or reduced citations so the MCMIS record reflects the court outcome.
Driver coaching when the underlying behavior is real, so the next inspection does not refill the same BASIC.
Best for
Who this fits.
- Carriers with one or more BASICs trending up after a string of inspections.
- Fleets where a single state or corridor produces a disproportionate share of citations.
- Owner-operators who do not have the legal infrastructure to fight individual tickets but cannot afford the CSA points.

Driver coaching memos
When a citation reflects a real coachable issue, a written memo for the driver's file documenting the conversation and the corrective action.
How the work runs
How the work runs.
- 01
Intake the citation
Driver or dispatch forwards the citation and inspection report. We pair it with ELD data, dispatch records, and any equipment evidence within 48 hours.
- 02
Decide and execute
Fight, plea, or pay. We coordinate with local counsel when court representation is needed. We track the docket through to disposition.
- 03
Update the record
Post-disposition, we file a DataQ if MCMIS does not match the court outcome, route the result to the driver's file, and update your CSA forecast.
